What a good quote! I got it from...well, hard to explain, but good quote. I dont actually know the person I got it from, and the person doesnt know I got it...but thats neither here nor there. :) But man, it reminds me how much I worry.
So, my mom made me realize something this summer and now it is sticking out like a sore thumb pretty much every day. I would come home from work and tell her how my day was, and more often than not it included someone working at a below-par level in my opinion. That is something I dont have tolerance for. I'm not sure why, it is just a pet peeve of mine. If you're going to do something...do it. If not, dont say you will. Period. Well, I never really put much thought into it, but she was telling me why Brittany (my future co-worker) will be a good partnerish type for me because we have the same work ethic. Then she went on to tell me the "hard-ass" ethic (as she calls it) I never considered it that way, I didnt really ever think of it at all. But in so many ways and on so many levels I do have that view...and I'm not sure if it is good or bad. I guess there are pros and cons to everything, but I just dont know which outweighs the other. Anyway, I think it does, or eventually will, make people like me less. SO should I change it or just let those people dislike me, cause I dont like their ethic anyway? Lol...such a pointless question I guess.
WONDERFUL NEWS! Upon graduation when I go to Houston and venture out into the real world...i wont be alone! My wonderful, amazing, beautiful, uplifting, and incredibly fun friend Kristine is officially going to be working there too! For a company I would like to work for one day, ironically. Maybe she can arrange that. EIther way, theres no way you know how excited I am about that! Most of my friends will still be in CS, Jonathan will be in Cheyenne near Andi in Denver, Austin will be in North Carolina and not sure where my roommates will be. but good to know kris will be near me! :)
Well, I need to get going. I am EXHAUSTED. So much to do before tomorrow night at 6:00 and I could manage to sleep until then. What to do...
