It sure has been awhile! Things get so busy towards the end of the semester I hardly have time to blink! Only one more week...I hope I can just pull it out.
The past few weeks have been wonderful. I had such a great time in Chicago over Thanksgiving and then last weekend I went to Dallas to visit my dad's family. It was so nice to be together. his brother Bob from oklahoma, his wife sharon and their kids Sarah and Mark were in town too so it was really nice. I had such a good time with them and an even better time with laura! We went out on saturday night to a sports bar to catch some football games and then went next door to a dance club where I met Ed "Too Tall" Jones. He is a former Dallas Cowboy, a 3-time super bowl champion, and not such the charmer. He thought it would be a good idea for my aunt and me to go back to his "estate" with him. So we followed him and "somehow" got lost. oops. But, I did manage to try on his super bowl ring which was incredible. it had so many diamonds and it fit over 2 of my fingers! It was pretty cool. Dont know that I'll ever get the chance to try on one of those again, so it was pretty exciting.
Last week I was extremely stressed and got very little sleep so Alexis stopped by my house and cleaned my room for me. It was so great to come home and my books and jackets were already back in their places. it was great. My room is very rarely messy and when it is I dont really know how to handle it. So it was nice that she did it for me. My bed was even made!
I am so stressed but there are a few things that are pulling me through. Apparently Pat Green's "Lucky Ones" reminds someone of me. :) If you havent heard it, here are the words to the chorus:
Cause baby the lucky ones
Baby the lucky ones
Baby the lucky ones
For a moment or two
Get the chance to fall in love
With somebody like you
How sweet is that? That alone has pulled me through a few long study sessions lately. I have a lot of good things going on right now, so I am pretty thankful for that. One thing that is really rough for me right now though is Jonathan's news of his early report date. I knew the day would come and I was preparing for it...but I didnt expect it would be at the beginning of Janyary and I didnt think it would hinder him from coming to Hawaii. I wasnt ready to start the grieving process of it yet. But, as he always says, sometimes the best laid out plans go to waste. I know I am still going to have an excellent time in Hawaii, probably will be too excited to even be sad, but once I get back and I've already said bye to Jonathan and Brian, I'll be pretty devastated. So, I hope you guys are ready to be a support system when I get back from Hawaii because it will be quite the mountain top experience, if you ask me. SO thanks in advance for your patience and love. you are wonderful.
I better get going. I have an oral test in french soon and then I need to shower and get ready for work. I work from 8-11 tonight so if you're studyin and need a break, come by and see me. I'll be there all week too so stop by sometime. Have an awesome week and I hope finals are over before you can blink! Love you all!
