I am so thankful that we have no school today. But, the reason is tragic. For those of you who dont know, 5 years ago exactly at 2:42 am November 18 the Aggie Bonfire collapsed, taking 12 lives. The bonfire is a symbol of aTm's burning desire to beat the hell outta tu. However, in 1999 there was an error in the building, and the bonfire collapsed leaving many wounded and 12 dead. It was the most tragic event on the aTm campus ever. Bonfire has not been built on the campus since, and possibly may never be again. Today on campus a memorial will be dedicated and all Aggies' thoughts will be with those who lost their lives, and the families they left behind.

Just wanted to say that.

On another deep note. I found little postcards today with a poem called "Merry Christmas from Heaven" on them. I bought one for each of my brothers and my mom. Here it is:

I still hear the songs
I still see the lights
I still feel your love
On cold wintery nights

I still share your hopes
and all of your cares
I'll even remind you
to please say your prayers

I just want to tell you
you still make me proud
You stand head and shoulders
above all the crowd

Keep trying each moment
to stay in His grace
I came here before you
to help set your place

You dont have to be
perfect all of the time
He forgives you the slip
If you continue the climb

To my family and friends
please be thankful today
I'm still close beside you
In a new special way

I love you all dearly
now dont shed a tear
Cause I'm spending me Christmas
With Jesus this year.

Well, it is pretty late so I think I'll close on that. Not much new has been going on besides winning $6 in poker...woo woo! :) Class, work...you know, the usual. :) Have a great Thursday and a good weekend. And, in case I dont post since I'M GOING TO CHICAGO have a happy turkey day! :)
