What does it take to be #1?

So, I have yet to determine how my weekend was. Well, it was great...but then again it was awful. I'll let you be the judge.

Friday jenn and I stayed in all night and watched movies and chilled. It was so awesome. We hadnt had the time to actually hang out since we moved in so it was great. We had so much to talk about and had an awesome time. Saturday we woke up late and sat around in pajamas ALL day! We watched some awesome football, earned $30 each simply by sitting on the couch and taking a survey, and relaxed. It was great. I checked my email and had a letter from the sweetest person in the whole entire world. It made me cry! I was so happy all day because of allthe sweet things he said. He told me how highly he thought of my Dad and how he was sorry he couldnt help me through it more than he did. He is so sweet. Later Alexis, Jenn and I got ready and went to Brit's halloween party. I had such a good time. I hadnt seen some of them in like a month so it was great to catch up. It wasnt too crowded and it was nice. Got home and found that I had gained an hour of sleep. Doesnt get much better than that. Today I have watched NFL and played poker. So nice to relax and have fun.

Sounds like a good weekend right? Well, thats cause I left out the parts I didnt like. First and foremost, we lost to Baylor. Yes, thats right...Baylor. They havent beat us in 19 years. They are the bottom feeders in the Big 12. Some say they dont even deserve to be IN the Big 12. And they beat us. Reggie McNeal had attempted 200 passes without an interception. big 12 record. Made himself a heisman contender. Yet...he threw one...TO BAYLOR! Jaxson Appel was no longer injured and he played...and allowed 35 points...BY BAYLOR! If you arent understanding the magnitude of the repercussions that will come from this loss, I cant explain it to you. I was livid. Secondly, my step-sisters mom is continuing to make life unbearable. nevermind that SHE made this choice. nevermind that she got money hungry and thought the judge would agree that her makind $140,000 was more important than Emily living near her dad. Nevermind that she could reverse this in an instant if she gave up the job. nevermind all that. Somehow Alfredo is the bad guy because he is a loving father who doesnt want to lose his daughter. Makes sense to me Rebecca...you MORON! Everyday is something new. Today she is mad because Alfredo wont let Emily spend Halloween with her mom for the "annual pumpkin carving" Hmm...the past 2 years they have done it the weekend before Halloween cause Emily has been with us. So why didnt they do it last weekend this year? Good question. Next, I found out my car wont pass inspection because of my stupid parking brake. (or lack-there-of). How embarassing is that? I used to make fun of ghetto cars that didnt pass inspection. Guess that came back to bite me in the rear. (kind of like the first bad aspect of the weekend) SO now I have to get it inspected, knowing it will fail, and have 30 days to fix it and get it inspected again. Juuuust great. And lastly, the frustration that has been brewing is just getting worse. I think I am going to blow.

So...was it a good weekend or a bad weekend? you decide. kind of like the vote on tuesday. oh yeah...next bad thing...apparently the redskins win/loss the sunday before election has been a prediction of the winner of the election. if they win, the incumbant wins. vice versa. well...they lost. I swear...I dont know what I will do if John Kerry wins. I really worry for the future of America. I am sure he has the ability to be a good president...in a DIFFERENT time. NOT in the middle of a war, and not in this war. And...he is SO ugly! Seriously...I can NOT watch him speak on TV for 4 more years...I could hardly handle this past one year! So yes...if john kerry wins, combined with the loss to baylor, I very well may leave the country.

Ok...this has been pessimistic enough. time to watch movies with the roomies and hand out candy! happy halloween!
