Well, another day gone by and I am still not in bed at a decent hour. But, something tells me that for the next 3 nights I will be lucky if I make it to bed at any hour. I am currently taking a break from reading for oceanography. I really could not care any less than I do...and I dont have any motivation to continue reading. I seriously doubt in the next 40 pages there will be any life altering news I cant live without...c'est la vie.
Today was ok...I got up at 6 to the sound of my alarm, which at first I thought was a ticking bomb, and surprisingly I actually got out of bed without ever pressing snooze! (first and most likely last time ever) I had time to relax instead of rush, which was nice. I played with my beautiful baby reagan (cat not baby...dont get any ideas), made my bed, got myself all dolled up (NOT) and then went to wake Jonathan and give him his awesome birthday present. (i am a good gift giver, if I do say so myself! one of my favorite things to do is to give gifts!!!) After that I had to go to class. Somehow I didnt doze off, which makes for some legible notes and no random words. After class I went to work. Seriously, being a barista has got to be one of the top 10 most enjoyable jobs of all time! When I got off work I had to go to management...and I had to sit through the lecture alone since Jonathan decided that, it being his birthday, he didnt need to go. I actually stayed awake in management too which was even more shocking! Last thursday I dozed off in class and, no joke, in my spiral there is a line that reads "rules, blood, souls, environment, wealthy, hot" Now, when I opened my eyes after dozing off for less than a minute and saw that...you can bet I was alarmed. What was I thinking about? Blood and souls?!?! I rewrote the line and it SHOULD have read "mechanistic organizattions = flexible rules for environment" SO, I got 2 words right...
Management ended and then came french. Thankfully that class always passes quickly because it is the last class of the day, doesnt get out til 5:30, and I already want to shoot myself rather than go sit in another class...I dont know how I would manage it if it passed slowly!
After class I swore to myself I wasnt going to make any phone calls and I was going to be a good student and read. Well, that lasted all of 2 minutes. I called Alexis and decided to eat dinner at her house, called Andi and decided she needed to come over so we could talk about boy issues (not boy's issues...but issues in regards to boys), and I called Patty because my life would be incomplete without her! :) So, studying didnt commence until about 8...or 8:30. :) But who cares, right? I'll be up all night anyway...I may as well have enjoyed myself!
I am looking back on my day wishing there was SOMETHING thrilling to talk about just so I could have a decent excuse as to why I havent gotten back to reading. But, sadly, nothing. Brad Pitt did not come visit me at work (and neither did YOU), my mom did not send me a new corvette but rather a newspaper clipping of a picture of one, and my bank card did not come in the mail. But...I did come home to find a card sitting on my desk from the best friend in the whole world. And what an awesome card it is! it has a picture of 2 5 yr olds from like the 50's with curly bangs, nice coats, and cowgirl boats and it says "I think its clear why men are intimidated by us" AWESOME! (and so true...:)
Wow, I guess that's all I got! :( Tomorrow I have class at 10:20, 11:30, 1:15 then a break from 2 - 4:10 (so I am free for a late lunch!!!) then class from 4:10-5:25 and then, :(, work from 6-11 or so. SO, if you want to get some lunch and dont mind waiting til later, or if you want a coffee drink between 6 and 11 pm, or if you just love me THAT much and want to see me tomorrow, give me a call! 281-468-9391!!! No use in me saying "if you're lucky I'll answer" or "if you're lucky I might take you up on that" cause I think we all know that I am pretty much gonna take what i can get! :) and, lastly, if you did not catch my last blog read it and dont forget to read Ecclesiastes 4:9-12! I love you all and hope you all have an awesome hump day!!! au revoir!
