My brother is SO talented! I swear, he is amazing. I drove into houston tonight to eat dinner with my family because he got into town this afternoon and after dinner he played a song for us. He played guitar, played harmonica, and sang!!! WHOA! I cant even do one of those...much less all three! He said he needs knee cymbals and then he will be a one man band! It sounds nerdy the way he talks about it, but it is so amazing. It was awesome. I wish I could trade him my brains for his talents...incredible. I would much rather have those! While I'm at it, I'd give up my anxiety, my obsessive behaviors, and heck...my hips too. But, seeing as those arent the most enticing things, I am guessing he'd much rather stick with his talents. oh well. c'est la vie.
Dinner was nice. What would a family dinner be without Brian cracking lame, and most of the time racist, jokes, Brandon and Lindsey fighting, and my mom tearing up during the prayer? Thats my family! Gotta love em! Of course after dinner consisted of the usual too...Brian cracking jokes, my mom and me getting made fun of, and Brandon and Lindsey...you guessed it...fighting. Ah, the love of newlyweds. Wait a minute...thats not how it is supposed to go...they're supposed to be so in love I'd want to vomit. Something isnt adding up here... Just kidding. They are both very emotionally driven people so it makes for constant friction...soemtimes good, sometimes bad. But never a dull moment! (brandon's tatoo is SO fitting!)
I have so much to do it isnt funny. Remember on Sunday when I said I had lots of free time and I didnt need to study? And remember yesterday when i went to the mall withAlexis cause I didnt have anything I needed to be doing? Next time either of those thoughts come into my mind please remind me I have no time for having an entertaining life. I SHOULD have been studying the whole time. I should have been making french flash cards, learning the difference between "he was supposed to", "he had to", "he has to", "he intended to", etc, learning about management, making french cd's...oh wait, you dont want to see my to-do list! You have one of your own! (trade ya!!!)
But, before I get too down on my schedule and lack of a life, seeing Brian's pictures made me all the more excited about january 2-9 2005!!! Hawaii is gonna rock my socks off! I seem to be setting the bar pretty high here...Cayman Islands, San Diego, New Orleans, Mexico, Hawaii...better marry someone rich! (who am i kidding...marrying someone at all will be sufficient for me. no nice honeymoon necessary)
Well, I am off to get as many of those things done before I crash for the night/morning/short nap. Wednesdays are the days from hell...worst day of the week for me. But, once 11 pm rolls around it is all downhill! Come see me at work tomorrow night and order a drink! I recommend an iced caramel machiato (mostly cause its good, but also cause it is fun to make!) Have a great hump day everyone! Au revoir!
