So...happy late july 4! Hope you all had a great independence day weekend, as I did. I moved home saturday afternoon and spent the evening with Jonathan and some old family friends, then after dinner I got to see Brad, James, Sarah, and Chris. Sarah and I chatted on our own for hours about college...we are both so excited about next year!
Sunday I went to church :) which was enjoyable for about one hundred reasons. First and foremost, I learned something new. Secondly, I shared some VERY personal information in sunday school that I am horrible at talking about. My hands were shaking, my voice was trembling, and I was staring at the ground...but I was so proud of myself for doing it! There were only 3 other students which made it more comfortable, adn they were like the 3 most sensitive, caring, and incredible guys I have ever met. So it was not too hard to talk to them, even though i dont know them! The third reason, obviously, is because of my new love interest. (not love...just lack of a better word) And finally, it was great because my new crushs's mom introduced herself to me and was like "hi I am so-and-so" and I said "Its nice to meet you, I am Amanda" and she was like "amadna blair. you are teh daughter of the new members right?" STUNNED as i was she went on "You are in sunday school with my son casey and he told me about you" So, that means one of two (or many)things...but we are going to assume it means they talk about ME over the dinner table :) what a psycho i am! After chruch I napped at home, went to a family-friends barbecue where i was pushed in the pool FULLY clothes wearing blue underwear under khaki shorts, and watched some fireworks with a few friends. It was a fun night.
Today I went to see the notebook again with my mom, and i disliked it this time. The first time I couldnt decide but this time I just wasnt a fan. I mean, the boy was such a sweet boyfriend...but, I dont know...it just wasnt my type I guess. It was sad, and I shed tears again, but the movie as a whole wasnt all the great. Wish I had only seen it once and had at least some good feelings about it. OH well. I am still reading my book, deeply engrossed in it, and it is SO good. If any of you even REMOTELY like to read (trust me, i am not a reader) then P.S. I love You is one to read! Be prepared for emotions...but it is so wonderful. I cant wait to finish it! my mom adopted 2 kittens which she picks up tomorrow so we are going to petco in a little while to get supplies. Our house will have 3 kittens and a dog who is afraid of her own shadow. This should get crazy!
So, I better get going. Work starts tomorrow and I have things to do before I go to bed early and get a good night's sleep. Have an awesome week! Au revoir!
