Whew...time for a breather! What a week this has been! Let me begin by saying this is going to be the most boring blog on the world! :)
Monday I drove to houston after spending the afternoon with alexis for her birthday. On my way home, as i was rushing to please my mom, I got a speeding ticket. Once home I ate dinner and went to bed. Tuesday morning was court...what a waste of time. This was an emergency temporary hearing to be followed by a trial, regardless of the outcome of the temp hearing. So, the judge talked to the lawyers then the lawyers questioned rebecca on why emily should be moved out of harris county and, after a short 45 minutes of that, rebecca's request was denied. Praise the Lord and much thanks for your prayers and support! Rebecca looked much more professional this time but HER GIRLFRIEND DIDNT! It was fun to watch her prance around the hallway looking like 1/2 man 1/2 woman! That was mean...I know...strke that from the record. Tuesday night I was driving back late and heard something pop as I lsot control of my petals and steered to a stop. I had a flat tire at 10:45 pm on 105. No shoulder, no one to help, and a fried cell phone due to the fact that I put it in a cup of water accidentally. Oh man was I scared. I worked for about an hour trying to get my old tire off and such then 2 men stopped to help me. When they got the tire off we noticed there was nothing wrong with the tire, just the rim...the parking brake cable popped and was wrapped up in the rim and it BROKE THE RIM! Tell me how a simple wire can bust a rim? No telling how long the brake cable had been wrapped up in there. So, they got me all fixed up and I was on my way. Wednesday I had a test that, thanks to my 3 hour delay, I was not prepared for. After that I relaxed and have been since then. Minor problems such as slamming my finger in my car door, falling on campus, and almost running off the road today as I fell asleep but other than those I am ok. This court stuff keeps eating away at my brain and taking all my energy...and it isnt even my fight! Rebecca is taking us to a final trial to once agian try to convince someone that it would be in EMILY'S best interest to move (she seems to forget tht the question is not about her own best interest!) She has asked alfredo to, once again, go to counselling which, in my opinion, is solely so that the therapist can take it all to court and make alfredo look bad. Alfredo plans to decline the offer for counselling until all the court stuff is settled. My guess is at that point she will no longer be interested. This weekend I am home relaxing, helping my mom with her Southern Living Party, and celebrating her birthday. I also brought home some stuff becasue I am moving back home on the weekend of july 4 to start working at rowan. The combination of not ahving a stable job in CS, having a new cell phone to pay for, a rim to pay for, and not having any $ to begin with all convinced me i need to go home. I am excited about it, though sad I will have to wait 6 more months to gt my ring. it will be ok though. like andi says, i will have my ring for life...what is a 6 month delay? So, that is my plan...yup yup yup! Plus i get to see cute casey in sunday school. ;) always an alterior motive floating around somewhere in there! :) well, now that my fingers are numb I am going to go...glad to have updated you!
