I got up at 6:30 this morning...I sure didnt want to get out of bed! but, once I did, it felt nice to run. We didnt run for long, just enough to burn a few cals and get the metabolism running for the day. Hopefully this summer I can get up at 6:30 almost everyday day and try to get some jogging or rollerblading in before I have to go to class at 8. We will see. That wouldnt give me much time at night though! I would be tired!!!
When we got back we had eggs and bacon (turkey bacon of course) and then watched some tennis on tv. I am usually not a fan of watching tennis but it was such a tight match and alfredo and I had a bet on it, so I am, interested. It is the French open...makes me wish I was in france even more. :)
I have big plans for today...not! I am lounging around the house, maybe visiting with some peeps, and then working from 7 to 10 or so. Alfredo is going to play golf on campus and if I was remotely interested I wouold go too. I enjoy hitting balls at the driving range, but I am not so much the fan of playing the game.
Did I ever explain why alfredo has been here since friday? I dont think so...Well...basically, his ex wife is a $%@&**@! She, for the second time, has decided she wants to move with emily to another state. The first time she said this was in 2000 when she emailed alfredo and said "Emily and I will be moving to Oklahoma in 2 weeks" Alfredo called our lawyer and they set up a court date to alter the divorce decree stating that unless both parents consent, Emily is not allowed to move out of Harris County until she is 18. Well, rebecca emailed alfredo a few weeks ago saying she got a job offer in Arizona. She went on and on about why arizona is a better place to be than houston...which would ALMOST be believable except, is that were the case, then people would be herding OUT of houston, not IN to houston. But, apparently houston is a prosperous city and LEADING the nation in employment growth. So, why, you may wonder, does she have a job offer in arizona and NOT in houston? Well, I can answer that one simply: she hasnt looked. She has looked everywhere BUT houston so as to get emily away from her family who loves her...her family that is a huge threat to Rebecca's ego and manipulation. So, when alfredo kindly declined rebecca's offer to lift the restriction of emily moving out of harris county we heard no word for weeks...so my mom and alfredo decided to go ahead and meet with an attorney under the assumption that rebecca would be taking this to court. The lawyer met with them in the county courthouse and, by the grace of God, they happened to go downstairs and see that the papers had been processed and were waiting to be picked up...the ones calling alfredo to court. We found this out last wednesday...and the court date is set for this wednesday! A week is hardly enough time to plan a case so the lawyer advised alfredo to leave town for a week so as to avoid the papers and force rebecca and her lawyer to reschedule. My mom called and siad she has spoken to a processor trying to serve alfredo papers twice now...my mom told them this morning he wont be home until the end of the week. SO THERE REBECCA! Who has the upper hand now? It doesnt matter...we are going to win anyway...she has NO case. The judge last time told her that she was lucky it wasnt a custody battle becuase she has no grounds to need to move out of houston. If she lived in a non-prosperous town then maybe...but not houston. So, that's the drama. My mom, emily, and alfredo spent the weekend here and sunday night my mom took emily home. Alfredo is leaving early wednesday morning to go teach some tennis lessons and then go to his daughter's field trip. Man, thats ANOTHER story of rebecca's evil manipulation...but I wont bore you with it. Basically, emily asked her dad to go to her field trip and her mom said "You need to call him back and tell him he cant go becuase I am going" and when emily was crying to her dad rebecca felt guilty so she said "Fine, i will go in the morning and he can go in the afternoon." So, witch mom becomes super mom fill of compromises. OOOOO i hate her.
But, today is a B-E-A-Utiful day! The birds are chirping, the kittens are playing, and I dont have a thing to do! Have a good one y'all! au revoir!
