Has it really been 5 days since I last blogged? Man...you blink your eyes and BAM a week is gone! Let me try to think about what all has happened since then...
I went home friday...well, not home...to Houston to watch 3 teenagers while their parents were at a church retreat. It was really fun. I felt really old when the youngest girl's dad said to me, "Christina has been so excited about this...she feels like a real teenager now." (she's 13) and I said "yeah, i know, me too!" Whoa...I mean, I AM a teenager (yep guys, i'm still 19) but I dont feel like it. Being silly and immature with them was fun for the weekend. We went to a wings place friday, rented Bruce Almighty and Cheaper by the Dozen, and crashed at 2 am. Saturday the boy, robert, went bowling with some friends and the girls and I went shopping before eating at Chile's for lunch, seeing Mean Girls with my mom, and going to eat at BJ's for dinner. Oh man...their pizookie is TO DIE FOR! Sunday I took them to church and then after a late lunch I headed back to good ol' college station.
Monday was a terrible day...I was prepared to take my econ test only to find out it was on friday! So, I currently have a 0. I have to go talk to the dean of the college tomorrow because my syllabus said it was May 3 in class and there was never a posting about it on her website or anything. so that sucked.
Tuesday was MUCH better. I layed out by the pool with the 2 coolest gals in the world, played dominos with some cool people I met at the pool, watched some TV, and RELAXED! (thats a word I havent heard in a while)
And...that brings us to today! I woke up kind of late, Alexis made me my breakfast (my diet which i will explain later makes me eat 6 times a day!) I watched 1/2 of a movie and got bored with it, enjoyed a ;unch with trav (though I didnt eat there) and wentto work. I was scheduled to work from 3:30-9:30 but I should have known I would get cut early. Oh well. I applied at Loupot's today and they said they still need a few people for summer and some for fall so hopefully I will have a better job soon! After work I made beef kabebs and mashed "potatoes" (more on that later) for Jonathan, Alexis, and Michael, and we ate and watched American Idol and the O.C. Speaking of...tear jerker! I almost cried! But, for those of you who watched it, I find it very cool that Seth is sailing to Tahiti for the summer and I TOTALLY wish I had to opportunity to be on a sail boat with Adam Brody for 42 days! WHOA!! What a cutie!!!
So...my diet. It is the south beach diet, for those of you who have heard of it. It was created by a cardiologist originally for his patients who needed to begin eating better for their hearts' sakes. Well, it became so popular that lots of people started to use it and now there are books on it. My mom bought me the book and cookbook. So, there are 3 phases to the diet. The first phase lasts 2 weeks, or longer if you can stand it, and in 2 weeks you are expected to lose somewhere between 8 and 15 pounds. Then in phase two it is a little less strict and they guess you will lose an average of 2 pounds per week. You stay in that phase until you reach your goal. That is why some people might want to stay in phase one, if they have a lot to lose. Anyhow, the food isnt all the bad...except I miss eating bread and drinking anything other than water! But, my skirt today already feels a little bit looser so that is a good thing!
Tomorrow I am going to talk to the Dean of the college to try to work on my economics stuff then I am headed home to bawl at the season finale of friends, then friday i have to have my blood drawn (eek) and then going to the drill team spring show for Cy-Ridge. Saturday I plan to relax, chill with the coolest, proudest members of the fightin texas aggie class of '08!, and then I am going to Nikki's wedding to see the most gorgeous bride ever! Sunday is mother's day so I plan to make dinner for my mom (south beach style!) and then come back here to study for 72 hours straight! yay for finals...not!
I better go...my hands are getting sore and Jonathan is tired of hearing the typing of the keys! have a good dead week and good luck on finals! au revoir!
