What a good weekend! I enjoyed myself and got plenty of rest!
Friday after my econ test (which I feel pretty good about) I worked for a few hours and then I hung out at my apartment until I went out to Studio with Alexis, Andy, and some of her friends...when we were there we ran into Jonathan, Randy, Brittany, and Elton. I also happened to be sitting next to a Lacrosse player...we were talking and he kept insisting that he recognized me but didnt know how. (i thought it was a cheap pick-up line) Then he mentioned lacrosse and I said I am a little sister! Small world! He wasnt at the mardi gras party so he said he must recognize me from the game or the tournament...who know. He was kinda cool, though alexis insists he was trying to hit on me up until Jonathan came and saved me! later on that night he kept trying to dance with me and I would slyly move and dance alone...he was nice, just a little...assertive. :) Alexis and I didnt stay for long cause I was supposed to work at 8:30 on Saturday and, conveniently, when I got home there was a message from my manager that said I didnt have to work Saturday, so it was back to Studio with Ralf! We didnt get there until like 12:45, so the night was almost over anyway.
Saturday I spent the day apartment hunting...I have SO many brochures and I am going to find the most bang for my buck! (hunting consisted of looking through brochures, havent visited yet) I made a spreadsheet comparing rates, square footage, and anything included in rent...finding an apartment can be easy, but I dont want to get ripped off (and personally I think the 4 bedroom furnished complexes rip you off...did you know they get approx $1500 per unit?!?!) I spent most of my day doing that, and part of the day planning spring break. Panda Bears here I come!!! I have never seen one in person...I cant wait! Then Sat night I went to Bekah's for a while and met some pretty cool people...some pretty interesting people...all in all had a good time! I came home pretty early and worked for a few more hours on my apartment spreadsheet.
Today I went to church where I saw the most beautiful girl sitting there...she was a few rows in front of me and you could see the happiness in her heart beaming from her face! During one of the songs the choir had prepared she was smiling with joy, it was beautiful! Kristine Phelps...I love you!!! you made my day! After church Jonathan and I drove around to some of the complexes that are in my spreadsheet, but none were open, so I came home, ate spaghetti, and went to work. Work was good...that was the fastest 3 hours ever! Doug and I were working in the back doing stock...we just open boxes, unwrap the clothes, size them, and then label the box with the section the clothes belong in...we were racing to see who could do the most (when in actuality, the winner would be the one who didnt have to work as hard, therefore opening LESS boxes...we never got that...) but, I TOTALLY beat him (meaning he won, he was lazy...) He is SO hilarious...I was cracking up the entire time! And I swear, he is like a walking movie-quote-dictionary! Every other line he says is a hilarious line from any random movie. Our manager claims thats all his brain holds! (quite possible!) J/k...he rocks. Now I am on a short break and then it is BACK to work to put all those clothes out on the floor...exciting huh?!?! Unfortunately when i get home at midnight I still have to stay up for a few hours doing stat homework...bleh! Someone remind me next week to do the homework BEFORE sunday night! :)
Alexis and I decided it would be a good idea to buy work out tapes. She got 2 DVDs...one is yoga and it "relaxes the mind" When we were doing it I thought it was a joke, but I really can feel some of the muscles we stretched. Then, for a cardio workout, we have Crunch: Salsa Dancing! Man, I never knew how white I am!!! I swear my hips dont move in those ways...I tried! Funniest point in the salsa dancing: alexis had already given up mid-way through our second dance routine and I did "a little hop in the middle", as giselle calls it, and on my way down from my hop I landed on the side of my ankle and fell to the ground! Oh man was that embarassing!!! But, today I feel refreshed and I think I am going to enjoy learning to salsa (or attempting to learn)
Well, it is back to work for me...I know I need hours, but why do they give me all the weird shifts?? Hope you all had a great weekend and got something productive done as well! au revoir!
