Oh man...lets see...so much is happening I can hardly keep up. First and most importantly, I got a job at the Gap! Though it is the LAST place I wanted to hire me, it pays me less than Rowan would, and I dont know how many hours I will be working, I am SO excited! :) I have not had the best semester ever, so sitting in an office 40 hours a week listening to Shannon Williams's whiny voice tell me over and over that I messed up when I didnt does not sound like a fun job. But, standing in a store, bugging customers to death, making friends with Russell's lover, and smiling all day sounds pretty darn good. PLUS...I get to see what it would be like to live ALONE!!! WOO HOO!!! That part is the best news of all!!! Though I will miss Jen and Alexis terribly, I believe I was born to live alone...so for a month I get to try it out. I'll keep ya posted on the wonderfullness of it all!!!
So, I went shopping with Amanda last night...I spent $98.66 at Gap, but more importantly, i SAVED $87!!! Isnt that AWESOME?!?! The joy of retail! I got a pair of jeans (which i was TERRIFIED to try on in fear they wouldnt fit due to gaining weight) a sweater, a pearl snap shirt, and 2 belts. It sucks because I will soon need more, but that is ok. I will manage for a while. I have orientation today...exciting as all get out, let me tell you. I need to start getting ready soon!!!
I found out how to see teachers' status and past grade records without paying for pick-a-prof. It is some site like sga.tamu.edu or something...anyhow, I looked at my profs for next semester and it looks promising. Econ prof's gpa: 3.4 which means if i work at it, I have a good chance of an A, French prof's: 3.6 EVEN BETTER, agronomy wasnt there, but DUH!!! :) Accounting prof's: 2.7, so a little harder but all I need/want in there is a B so that seems attainable, and stat prof is "staff" so there is no way to look that up. But, if I do all my work, go to class, and make the grades I want next semester will be 3 A's and 2 B's...3.6 baby!!! WOO HOO!!! I am so determined to make up for this semester that I think I can actually do it!!!
I have been doing lots of crafty things lately...I am making Patty her xmas present currently, finished Brandon and Lindsey's wine glasses (painting glass is A LOT harder than anticipated), got the martini set to make my mom's present when I go to patty's over the break, and already have Sarah, Lindsay, and Julie's planned...just have to go buy the stuff. I know I should be studying for my last 2 finals, but crafts are such a stress reliever and this semester, especially this month, has SUCKED! Mainly because someone I considered to be a very good friend dropped me like a bad habit at the first sign of conflict, hmm...good friend, but ya know, what can ya do? Lay in bed and mope all day? Yeah...always an option! :)
I better go...I have a final tomorrow I am SO unprepared for and I have to do decent on, and I have orientation soon. Wish me luck on both! If you are lucky enough to be going home this weekend, have an awesome time, merry christmas, enjoy your break, and I'll see ya in January!!! adios
